Alan Agarrat, one of our longest serving members and a perennial presence at track sessions, always on the whistle and offering encouragement to all sadly passed away in late 2025, and he will remain in the hearts and thoughts of all those who knew him.

Alan was an accomplished track athlete, and so as a tribute to his life and his love of the sport, this summer we will host the inaugural Alan Agarrat Memorial Races. These are open to all, regardless of experience, and will let us share the experience of track racing that Alan loved.

The event will take place on Thursday 9th July, from 6pm, at Willesden Sports Centre.

​

Entry is free, and the deadline to sign up is Friday 3rd July.

Seniors & Older juniors - 1 mile races

For senior members and juniors aged 11 or over (on 31 August 2025). This race also doubles as our club 1-mile Championship.​

Younger Juniors - 800m race

For juniors aged 10 or under (on 31 August 2025).​

​

All - 100m race

Alan was a sprinter, so there will be the opportunity to race 100m — open to all!​

tug-of-war

To round off the evening in true club spirit, there'll be a tug-of-war for anyone who fancies it — all welcome, and you can just sign up on the night.
