I think we are up men!.
It’s down to the usual few, Ben and Harold for getting the team together. Alan and Cecil for helping out as always.
Also good to see Bertie, Joao and Martin come out and race for us. Thanks men!

Big shout out to Bens squad who once again delivered the winning points.
Also Abu (our main man in the field) 2 wins and 3 seconds very impressive even though we had to listen to his theories on the England football team.Plus he brought his own vuvuzela which we quickly put a stop to.

We need another big push for the last two matches with the next match being Saturday July 31st 2010 at Portsmounth. It would be great to go unbeaten in the league so we can then start to consolidate what we have achieved this year and build for success in the higher division. Maximum turnout is needed again.Yes its a long way.

JUNIOR CORNER.
Aviva ESAA English Schools' National Cross Country Championship:

Young QPH athlete NAIOMI WAKEHAM-ARDES who is currently the London senior girls champion qualified for the English school championship which was held at Eden Park in Manchester,  Naiomi who has been running for only six months has made a great achievement and excelled above her own expectations representing London team.Naiomi was the 4th home and ran a very tactical race, she worked her way through the a pack of 300 girls to come in at 152 place in a time of 18:41 just over a 6 minute mile.Naimoi enjoyed the day and she is already preparing for next year.
Now that the cross country is over her next target will be for the English schools track and field.

Well done Naiomi, everyone at QPH are very proud of you.

JUMP TO IT !
Well done Richmond

Richmond
Richmond Hazeley switched to the high jump to claim a shock county indoor title at Edmonton on Sunday.
Hazeley, who usually runs the 100m and 200m, filled in for QPH in the senior high jump at the Middlesex Indoor Championships - and cleared 1.80m to win the gold medal.
That means the QPH athlete - who pulled a muscle and could only finish sixth in the 200m (24.83 seconds) - will now represent Middlesex at the Inter-Counties Championships this weekend.

In the senior men's 60m, QPH's Keith Bacchus sliced a large chunk off his personal best to take sixth place in a time of 7.98.
Meanwhile, debutant Zaki Badawi ran well to take third place in the under-15 200m (30:24) and fourth in the 60m (9:45).
