History of Queens Park Harriers.
The beginning of Club goes back to 1887 when a group of boys from St.Judes Institute, Queens Park, decided to form a sports club which included amongst its activities both athletics and football. The football section apparently disagreed with the Vicar and broke away to form a club which eventually became Queens Park Rangers F.C.Originally the Club had no track and races were held along Ilbert Street,Queens Park and later along the rural Harrow Road.Housing developments forced the Club to repeatedly move its headquarters but this did not prevent it expanding and growing in stature.
Colours of the Club are the well known Red and White hooped vests known as the "Danebury Hoops" presented by Mr Tom Cannon whose horse racing colours they were during his Presidential Year in 1902-03.
